Our District at a Glance....

Our schools serve over 3900 students in grades K-8 for 180 (2005-2006) instructional days. Principals and teachers work collaboratively with parents and students to establish procedures that enhance learning, and contribute to a positive school climate.

COYOTE CANYON-grades K, 1, & 2 with approximately 740 students
DESERT VALLEY-grades 3, 4, & 5 with approximately 720 students
BULLHEAD CITY MIDDLE SCHOOL-grades 6, 7, & 8 with approximately 710 students
with campuses adjacent to one another, these three schools are located in the middle of our community

DIAMONDBACK-grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 with approximately 565 students
MOUNTAIN VIEW-grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 with approximately 320 students
SUNRISE-grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 with approximately 320 students
FOX CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL-grades 6,7,& 8 with approximately 610 students
These schools are on the north, east, and outer perimeter of our community

SERVICES AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS....Nearly 70% of our students are transported with a short bus ride of 10 to 20 minutes. Breakfast and lunch programs are available to all students, as are health, counseling, and nutrition services.  Title I, Special Education, Gifted, and ELL programs are also in place. Working together with the BHC Police Department and "Safe Schools" grants, we share School Resource Officers among our sites. Both the Bullhead City Parks and Recreation Department and the Boys and Girls Club of Colorado River offer after school activites.

COMMUNITY AT A GLANCE....Located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River, and bordering Nevada and California, we enjoy near-perfect weather for nine months of the year. Even the hot months of summer are acceptable, thanks to universal air conditioning! Residents enjoy golfing, hiking, water sports, and cooking dinner on the bar-b-q each evening. BHC Parks and Recreation offers coed softball at our community parks, and many other outdoor sports, as well as a competitive swim team for youngsters during the summer. Our children also participate in AYSO (soccer), Little League, sanctioned softball, and Pop Warner football.
